Jo has been meaning to get a new pair of shoes for awhile now, so we thought we'd go together. I really didn't want to go to a huge store full of all types of shoes, with different patterns and styles and colors, aisles and aisles of shoes to look at and try on and run my fingers along while thinking what outfit they would look awesome with.... But, you know, I make sacrifices for the ones I love, so I selflessly accompanied my dear boyfriend to the shoe store. Don't you dare say I don't ever do anything for you, Jo..
The first store we went to didn't have anything at all worth trying on. The second store was better. We weren't sure exactly what we were looking for. Jo figured he'd know when he saw it. This wasn't it.
The little pantyhose sock things are one of the best part of going shoe shopping, I think.
Jo tried on several pairs, but didn't find anything. However, I may or may not have found a cute pair of flats on sale that may or may not have came home with me. Since we didn't find anything at the first two stores, we tried a third, but unfortunately it was closing. We didn't go in, but we did find this cool pile of cottonwood fluff out front.
We played around with it for awhile before taking off.
All that shoe stopping had made us hungry, so we drove to Basil Flats, a recently opened restaurant that Jo and I both really like. They have some pretty sweet decor. These cube chairs are really comfortable.
The food at Basil Flats is soooo good. Jo got a yummy pizza.
And I got a yummy hummus wrap.
And then we went next door to Coldstone to get some yummy ice cream. Jo and I always get the same thing every time we go. I get the cake batter ice cream with brownie bits, and Jo gets the mint ice cream with Reeses Peanut Butter and white chocolate. So good.
So, in conclusion, Jo didn't get shoes but we did get some good food and ice cream. We'll take it. Shoe shopping part 2 in the future!
