First, a window box update. Our red geraniums are going crazy with the blooms, and the bright green little droopy things are absolutely loving their new home. It's wonderful to come home to this cheerful sight.
Next, the rosebush outside of our apartment. Every year it explodes with hundreds of yellow roses, and it's spectacular. Definitely worth mentioning, methinks.
Jo and I were on our way to go grab lunch at the Pumphouse, but of course we had to take time to smell the roses.
As I mentioned, Jo and I had an afternoon off together, so we were off to one of our favorite restaurants
to get some good food. It's nice because it's only a five minute walk away and the day was perfect. I did make one stop to take pics of these pink beauties. And then, before we knew it, we were there. Jo an I were both hungry and ready for some good food. Jo got his "usual," a double-stacked veggie burger.
I tried the hummus and veggie wrap.
As well as a tasty and refreshing wheat beer.
After lunch, we walked a few blocks down Main St. to the local donut shop for dessert. Jo and I both LOVE donuts, but don't eat them often, for the sake of our arteries.
We went with the chocolate dipped.
Jo was very excited about it.
It was delicious.
And, for good measure, why not throw in some more flower pics? We found these gorgeous Oriental Poppies when we were walking back.
