This summer was somewhat of a fail for Jo and I, as far as Farmer's Market went. I was usually working on Saturday mornings, so we had almost no opportunity to go together. Jo went by himself a few times, but I really missed our weekly bike ride down the Greenway to get fresh greens.
Oh, well. I suppose sometimes you have to take what you can get. We took the camera so we could document all the deliciousness we found. Here's a little photo tour of our farmer's market visit...
| Lovely, lovely flowers. There's nothing better than a freshly picked, slightly wild looking bouquet methinks. |
| We love all the variety that is available at the market. Check out the red and yellow varieties of carrots. |
| Here's our humble Longmont Farmers Market. We love checking out all the dogs that come to shop for produce with their owners. |
| A trip to Farmer's is never complete without stopping to smell all the awesome soaps. |
| See what I mean? |
| This hibiscus was HUGE. |
| But not as big as Jo's big head. |
| Here's a random stall. Look at all those veggies! Such bounty! |
| And more veggies. We almost always grab some potatoes at the market, since we go through them pretty quickly at home. |
| Leeks. |
| Beautiful Dahlias. |
| A crazy beautiful mixed bouquet. |
| Tomatoes. I will only buy tomatoes from Farmers because they taste sososo much better than the ones in the grocery stores. |
| Beautiful colors. |
| More beautiful colors. |
| And what do you know? Even more beautiful colors. |
| Here's my man, showing that eating your veggies never looked so good. |
| Look at the intensity on his face as he places those carrots in the bag. He gets really serious when it comes to carrots...he's not jokin' around, folks. |
| And one last random parting shot. |
