Picinic in the park...again

Jo and I have been positively intoxicated with the beauty of Springtime. Very cheesy, I know, but it's true. Everything is just so green and
beautiful! It seems a shame to spend our time inside when we could be outside, soaking it all up, so that's just what we're trying to do. Soak it all up, that is. We decided to make a couple of Really Big Salads, which is one of our favorite things to eat, and head down to Old Mill to enjoy them properly. We were both starving, so those salads were highly anticipated. We headed down to the park...

...which was green and lush and perfect.

Taking this CCS before digging into those awesome salads like a couple of starved hogs showed a lot of discipline, I think.
And, man, those suckers were good!

Yum!

This is the view from where we were sitting. I was trying to catch the petals as they floated down from the tree after every breeze, but it's not showing up on camera. It was lovely to watch in person, though. Like snow, only in warm weather.
I finished my salad before Jo, so I wandered around and admired the flowers while Jo finished up.

I put this in here because it's Jo's favorite tree in the park, and he always comments on it. It's a stunted little willow thing, but it seems to be doing alright for itself.

Fed and happy, we couldn't resist the lure of the fantastically lush grass, so we busted out the blanket and had us a little lay down. The sun was shining, my tummy was contentedly digesting a delicious meal, and I had my baby laying next to me on a blanket in the park. It was kind of perfect.

Jo did his part in helping next year's dandelion crop fluorish...

...by making a wish, of course.

And then we just kind of layed there. And talked. And looked at the clouds. And soaked up the sun. And stuck our feet in the air, just cuz.
It was awesome.

But, all good things must come to an end (is that true?), so we took a few goofy shots before heading home.
