Yup, that's how excited Jo and I were when we were driving to the airport to pick up my best, best, BEST friend Erin, who was coming in from California for a visit. I haven't seen her for over a year, so it was so amazingly awesome that she was able to find time to come see how we do things here in Colorado. Both Jo and I have been looking forward to her visit for what seems like forever. She flew in today at around 10:00, and after a joyful reunion at DIA, we headed back to our place in L-Town.
It was Jo's Bday today, so he went to play video games with his brother while Erin and I got some alone girl-time to catch up. We walked down to the antique store down the street...
And tried on hats. Lots and lots of hats. Erin was a good sport and modeled several varieties for me. These were not all from the same store; we ended up visiting several thrift and antique stores around town.
Erin is absolutely adorable and I pretty much love everything about her. I hope I didn't annoy her too much by pestering her to try 'em all on. But, then again, I have a feeling that, by now, she's used to me pestering her to do stupid stuff.
After a day of browsing and shopping, we drove into Boulder and met up with Jo. After playing a few rounds of Catch Phrase, we headed down to Pearl Street to go to the Cheesecake Factory for Jo's Bday. Awesome start to the weekend, I'd say!
